Special message for a special person
My greatest work and my finest case study; the raising of one incredible human being. For the past 20 years I’ve worked to teach this remarkable child how to be everything she desires. And along the way I’ve taught myself to do the same.
When she was born I began writing her a book. I think it was titled something cringe-like, ‘Everything I know’. I now know that there was so much I had to learn, but my focus was always crystal clear and that was to raise her in a way that would set her up for life.
My daughter has been my motivator in more ways than one. Making sure that she didn’t experience the same issues that I did, has been the catalyst for the creation of Genius You.
And weirdly, on the year of her 20th birthday, I’ve got to the place where I truly want to be through the impact of Genius You. And I couldn’t be more rewarded and blessed because I’ve seen it come alive in her.
Teaching her this programme has been hard because it has meant accepting the issues that I accidentally created within her. It’s meant having my eyes wide open to the things I need to look at within me. It’s meant backing myself because I had something special to show her and I needed her to listen. It’s meant the creation of a special kind of partnership that I never knew we could have and the realisation that we could teach each other.
My daughter has become an exceptional human. Talented. Kind. Wise. Funny. And I reckon the best is yet to come.
To her I say, happy birthday and thank you for your patience. Thank you for being a guinea pig. I’m so so relieved that it all worked out.
Much love, your grateful and awestruck Mama x.
